Being my main group, I feel the worst when I leave for long periods and this gets a lot less TLC than it deserves. You guys have always been great! So I've been thinking, if you guys are interested, I will make a discord for the community here to share art, game, chat, and more!

I'm sooo much more active on Discord, especially since it's very easy to access right from my phone. Even if this group on dA keeps slowing down, Discord is something I know I can handle (I have a discord already for gaming, approx. 100 members strong, but I'd make a new one for this).

Inktober!
Hey everyone! Who all is participating in Inktober?
This is my first year participating and boy is it keeping me busy! If anyone has some dragonish Inktober pieces, feel free to add them to monochrome (If they are just black and white) or traditional art if they have color.
I'm the most active on Instagram, @SandraStaple so if anyone is on Instagram, check out my page. I have all my Inktober pieces up there right now!
I'm following both the official prompts as well as the prompts from one of my favorite artists- the prompts used for the piece below were 'giant sequoia tree' and 'bait.'

The Realm of the Dragon inspired art server is up! If you're looking for a place to share art along with chatrooms and the like, it's ready to go! For those who don't know, Discord is a free chatroom in your browser or on your desktop app. It has text and voice channels and you can chat with others and share art! I've worked hard to make it as good as I can and bots to improve the server are coming soon! :)

I gave up my founder status due to inactivity, but it seems the undertaking is still huge stress here on dA. I've seen some of you ask about activity and chatrooms and I want to let you all know I am making a discord server inspired by the group and I will be making it live soon!
I haven't been active on dA for a long time, but I am on discord DAILY. For those of you who are unaware, it is a free community chatroom and you can use the browser or desktop app versions. When it's ready I'll be posting a link! It's a great place to maintain a community or just meet new people and chat with friends.

Breaking up the Colored Digital Folder
Hey everyone! I want to break the colored digital folder up, as it seems like 90% of the art submitted goes in there, which doesn't allow for showcasing the newest art really well.
So I am thinking of breaking it up as follows:
-Digital Paintings (Shaded with Full Background)
-Cartoons & Cartoon Characters (really anything cartoony)
-Comic Strips or anything that has text that tells a story
-Character layout sheets
What does everyone think? Can you think of better names for the categories, and can you think of any categories I may have missed?
Any input is greatly appreciated!

Not so active here anymore (at least, I don't check my notifications very often) so just found this. I think an art-based discord is a great idea and would be down to join.
